80 B4

The Audi 80 B4 debuted in 1991 as a major modernization of the B3 model, introducing a front grille integrated with the hood and an extended wheelbase with a new suspension setup. For the first time in the 80 series history, a practical estate (Avant) and an elegant Cabriolet were offered. Under the hood were the legendary 1.9 TDI engines, V6 powerplants (2.6 and 2.8), as well as iconic top-tier versions: the S2 and the RS2 Avant developed in collaboration with Porsche. The Audi 90 models were discontinued, with their higher-end features integrated into the B4 lineup. In 1994, the model was succeeded by the first-generation Audi A4 (B5).
