FSO POLONEZ 1500 1600

The FSO Polonez 1500 and 1600 are key models in the history of the Polish automotive industry. Production of the Polonez began in 1978 and the first versions were equipped with 1.3 and 1.5 litre engines. In 1987, the 1.6 version was introduced, offering 87 hp, which improved performance and driving comfort. Both models were available in different equipment versions such as CE, L, LE, SL, SLE. In 1988, a version of the Polonez 1500 Turbo was created, mainly for rallying, reaching a top speed of 220 km/h. In 1991, the Caro model appeared, introducing numerous design changes such as new bumpers, headlights and interior, improving aesthetics and comfort.
